Due to extended shooting period, the budget of Ravi Teja’s Krack has exceeded early estimates and that is leaving the producers and everyone involved worried.
Initially, the makers of Krack allotted a budget of Rs 25 crores for the film. But the onset of Covid-19 pandemic led to a lengthy delay in shoot and interest amount kept piling up all the while.
Now, a total of Rs 35 crores were spent on Krack which can be regarded as a big gamble, given Ravi Teja’s current run or form.
Ravi Teja’s previous two films, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Disco Raja were arguably high budget films and they ended up as massive duds at the box office. They could not even recover a part of the investment.
Now, Krack will be releasing with new theatrical logistics in place and it needs to do exceedingly well at the box office if it is to recover its investment and gain profits to those involved.
Tagore Madhu, who is producing the film is planning to release it this Sankranthi. The release date might be announced soon. The filming will be completed with the ongoing Goa schedule and the post-production and promotions are expected to commence accordingly.
