At last, Congress leader and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy has been granted bail in connection with the drone flying over state minister KT Ramarao’s alleged farmhouse. The High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh today granted bail to Revanth. Revanth was given conditional bail.
Revanth, who had been in judicial custody in Charlapalli jail for the past two weeks, got a sigh of relief with High Court granting bail. Earlier, Revanth’s bail petition was struck down by Kukatpally court that denied him bail.
Revanth was arrested by Narsingi police for the unlawful use of drone camera. He was booked under Sections 184, 187,188,287, 109, 120(b) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 11(a) read with Section 5 A of the Aircraft Act, which include unlawful use of drone by violating the privacy of individuals.
Revanth Reddy has been alleging that illegally constructed farmhouse belongs to Minister KTR, son of CM KCR. The farmhouse is located at Janwada in Rangareddy district.
It is rumoured that the farmhouse was leased by minister KT Ramarao. Whereas, Revanth has accused minister KTR of grabbing 25 acre of land by allegedly intimidating the land owners.
He alleged KTR of building constructions flouting the rules of government as the area is under the purview of GO No. 111 as the farmhouse located in survey numbers 301, 302, 312 and 313 in Janwada falls under the catchment area of Osmansagar lake.
