Finally, Some Solution in RTC Strike

The RTC strike has shook Telangana state like never before for the past 19 days. With 48,000-plus employees go on indefinite strike, 10,000 buses have gone off road hitting the normal life. The state was on boil with the protests of RTC employees. Unfortunately, 3 protesting employees have committed suicide as the government dismissed all 48,000 employees who are participating in strike.

18 days after the protests, Telangana state government has finally decided to consider some demands of protesting employees. The state government in a crucial announcement said that it would ‘examine’ the other demands of RTC workers unions. Chief Minister’s Office said the government will not look at ‘merger into government’ demand as RTC unions have voluntarily withdrawn the demand. It said CM KCR has decided to examine the other demands of employees.

While it took 18 days for the government to consider the demands of protesting employees, one has to wait and see what would be the final outcome. It is better late than never. As Diwali is around the corner, common people are expecting that government would take immediate steps to end strike before festival.
