Former MP G Vivek who was dodging between BJP and Congress, picked the saffron flag at last. In the presences of Home Minister Amit Shah, Vivek joined BJP. Telangana BJP leaders Laxman, Kishan Reddy and Nizambad MP Dharmapuri Aravind were also present went Amit Shah greeted Vivek upon joining the party.
Speaking on this occasion, Vivek said, “KCR has the habit of forgetting his own words. He is deceiving the people constantly and only BJP is the alternative in Telangana. KCR’s dictatorship should go in Telangana, then only people will get benefitted.” Vivek preferring BJP is a blow to Telangana Congress. Last week TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy met Vivek and invited him to Congress. But ex-Congress leader had his inhibitions.
Minister for state, Kishan Reddy said, Vivek joining BJP is a big boost to the party in the state. Many leaders in the future will also join the party. Nizamabad MP Aravind said, in the next elections, except for Hyderabad and Medak, the 15 MP seats will be bagged by BJP without any doubt and KCR will be dethroned from CM chair.
However, it is yet to be known whether Vivek will contest the next elections. If so, he might pick his father’s constituency Peddapalli from where he contested twice.
