Deepika Padukone’s first look from Chhapaak is taking internet by storm. Deepika essays the role of an acid attack survivor in the film. Deepika plays Laxmi Agarwal in the biographical film and the movie is being directed by Meghna Gulzar. Deepika’s face and her transformation into an acid attack victim appears to be so real. Deepika’s make-up as an acid attack survivor is now winning praises. It is buzzed that Deepika has gone under prosthetic makeup to achieve the look. The burns, scars on her character’s face are realistic as well.
How Laxmi (Deepika) overcomes the changing social stigma around her (acid attack victim) is the premise of the film. The film’s principal shooting will begin today and Chhapaak is all set for release on January 10, 2020. Vikrant Massey is seen alongside Deepika in the film and the film is produced by Leena Yadav in association with Fox Star Studios.
