Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi Tests Coronavirus Positive

The Coronavirus pandemic has left many famous personalities across the fields infected with the disease. One more personality from the politics got added to the list of infected.

Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) supremo and ex-Chief Minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi has come in contact with the disease on Monday. He confirmed the news of getting infected with the disease.

Jitan Ram Manjhi took to microblogging site Twitter to announce the news of getting infected with the virus. He urged everyone who might have come in contact with him to undergo pandemic tests.

The former Chief Minister attended a meeting on Sunday at his residence. It is believed that he would have got infected with the virus after attending the meeting.

The other day, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda tested positive for the virus. Based on the doctors advice, he went into home isolation.

In the last 24 hours, India registered 27,071 fresh Coronavirus infections, taking the total toll to 98,84,100. With a fatality rate of 1.5 percent, 1,43,355 patients have succumbed so far.
