In the wake of just few CMs invited for the official dinner with US President Donald Trump who has visited India for two days, there is a lot of political critique going on PM Narendra Modi for not inviting Chief Ministers of all the states. But then, our very own opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu, who boasts in the glory of bringing US President Bill Clinton to Andhra Pradesh, has a different thing to say.
Rather blasting BJP for not inviting Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan, Naidu has started accusing that due to the crores of rupees scams the YSR Congress leader got involved in, he is not invited. Naidu accused that US Officials might have checked the disproportionate assets case against Jagan, and hence never recommended his name, while Telangana CM KCR is invited to Trump’s dinner.
It is quite laughable of the TDP boss to say that because only 9 CMs are invited by the BJP government, but not the whole of CMs of all the Indian states. What will Naidu say about Modi government not extending to other CMs? If we have to go by Naidu’s claims, then those CMs also must have indulged in corruption, isn’t it? By far this is the silliest accusation Naidu ever made on Jagan in a frustration, without taking factuals into consideration.
Back then in 2000, when Chandrababu is the CM of united AP, he is said to have forced the BJP government in the centre to bring Bill Clinton to AP while the US President is originally scheduled to go to Bangalore. Had Naidu been CM now, he would have made Modi invite him for the dinner or made Trump come to AP as well.
