There were numerous reports that Vizag (North) MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao will quit TDP and join YSRCP. Adding strength to these reports, rumours came that Ganta had held talks with YSRCP on many occasions but somehow they did not come to a logical conclusion. At the same time, he is also waiting for an opportunity to leave TDP. Till the other day Ganta did not find any specific reason but finally he has found one.
Post AP CM YS Jagan proposing to have three capitals to the state, it was first Ganta to have supported this idea whereas none from TDP did. Just moments after Jagan’s announcement, Ganta tweeted in favour of it. Now the TDP MLA has added more voice to this.
“As I was born and raised here, Vizag has all the qualifications to be the Executive Capital of AP state. When a state government made such proposal, as Vizag wala, I will support it. My opinion may be different with that of party but the people of Vizag are also welcoming this and I’m with the people,” said Ganta.
This makes it clear that Ganta is really taking advantage of the situation and is distancing himself from TDP. If this continues then days are numbered for Ganta in the cycle party.
