Central government had been very generous with Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy lately with regard to many of the requests that he had been sending to the Modi Cabinet.
Yet, another good news is in the way of AP’s fortune. Andhra Pradesh’s Finance Minister Buggana has met with Central Minster for Water Department. In the talks about Polavaram project, central government has given a green signal to reimburse the funds for land acquisition.
This was one task that all the previous governments have thought was impossible. Along with this, government is also willing to even bear the expenses of relocating the people from the lands evacuated.
Central government Water Minister Gajendra Singh was requested to reimburse the total 3,319.89 crores of funds spent by Andhra Government on the Polavaram project.
It seems that Jagan’s government had explained about how hard it is financially on the State because of lack of funds release to the Panchayats.
He had also claimed how the previous government only gave importance to Annavaram project and neglected the Polavaram project. Therefore, their appeal was genuine and received approval from the central government.
