The Congress party on Friday accused the TRS government of using Legislative Assembly and Council as platforms to promote TRS agenda.
Emerging from the BAC meeting chaired by the Legislative Council chairman Swamy Goud, Congress deputy leader in Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said that the ruling party members were not allowing Opposition members to speak on issues of public importance. There is nothing wrong if the government publicizes its achievements, but the ruling party members were interrupting the Opposition members when they raise issues of public importance. As a responsible Opposition, we raise issues relating to public importance but the government is muzzling the Opposition voice, Sudhakar Reddy said. He demanded the government to allow the Opposition members to speak in the House.
The Congress leader also said that it was unfair to prevent Opposition leaders from meeting President Pranab Mukherjee.
