As a big relief to the theatre owners in the state, the Andhra Pradesh government allowed the owners of the 83 theatres that have been seized by the authorities to reopen them. The state government which granted permission for the same said that the owners should correct the violations in one month.
With the decision bringing happiness to the faces of the theatre owners, the Telugu Film Distributors Council had thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Cinematography Perni Nani on the occasion. They thanked the two dignitaries for addressing the issues faced by them.
While thanking them for the decision, the Telugu Film Distributors Council which had placed a few requests before the government had expressed its confidence that the other issues would also be addressed like the theatre issue has been looked into by the government.
It has to be noted that permitting the seized theatres is one of the main requests made by the representatives of the Council to the government. Days after the meeting took place, the government came up with the piece of good news.
Earlier today, the government said that the theatres can be reopened on one condition that the issues detected by the officials at the time of the raiding should be addressed within the given time. If not, the establishments should have to face the consequences.s
