Nandamuri Hari Krishna has shocked TDP’s senior leaders by making a surprise entry for TDP’s politburo meeting. AP CM and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has convened for a high-level politburo meeting on Sunday to discuss on the upcoming MLC elections.
Hari Krishna, who has been staying away from party functioning and been inactive for long, turned heads by turning up to the meeting. While the party is sure of winning 5 seats, the party is mulling over whether to field its candidate for the sixth seat or not.
Also unlike before, the competition for MLC nominations is heavy within the party as many senior leaders, who lost to win Assembly elections, or who haven’t contested due to lack of seats or who have lost on YSRCP and later joined TDP, are all pinning hopes on getting MLC nomination.
Hari Krishna’s sudden presence at the politburo meeting is inviting a lot of speculation as it has to be seen whether Hari Krishna is expecting any nomination to his close aides. Hari Krishna has been maintaining distance from party activities after he quit as Rajya Sabha member in Lok Sabha in protest against the bifurcation of the state. Also he has expressed his dissatisfaction on Naidu openly a couple of times in media.
Amidst several rumours that Hari Krishna along with Jr NTR is closely in touch with Opposition leader YS Jagan, his attendance to TDP politburo has shocked everyone.
