Harish Shankar to direct Ayyappanam Koshiyam remake?

Ayyappanam koshiyam had been one of the thrilling movies that became a huge hit in Malayalam this year. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menen starred as the prominent roles proved their mettle in the film.

Sachy aka Sachidanandan directed the film, who is also a theatre artist has helped him to to bring out the impeccable naturality in the actors. Telugu remake of the film is bankrolled by Sitara Entertainments. The buzz is that Rana and Ravi Teja are ready to lock horns in the lead roles.

Previously, the makers approached Nandamuri Balakrishna and also Venkatesh to play the same role. Nonetheless, things didn’t pan out well due to the shoot dates. Later Rana Daggubati agreed to re enact Prithviraj’s role in Telugu.

An official declaration about the cast and crew will be revealed post lockdown issue. Major part of the film is likely to be shot in picturesque locations like Ooty and Kodaikanal where Ayyapanum Koshiyum was also picturized.

Starting at now, there is no lucidity on the details of the casting and further aspects of the film. As indicated by the reports, Harish Shankar is in talks for coordinating the remake in Telugu considering his ability to make the commercial films.

Simultaneously, Sudheer Varma’s name too sprung up in the media reports. However, there’s no clarity about it. The makers are in discussions with them and they may conclude a name very soon officially.

The film’s craze has reached so well that even John Abraham acquired Hindi remake rights of the film after knowing about the intriguing story.
