Bollywood Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B doesn’t need any introduction. In his career spanning over five decades. He received several awards for his contribution to cinema.
Now Big B was honoured with a prestigious award. Making the award even special, celebrated Hollywood filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Christopher Nolan presented the award to the veteran actor.
Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with The International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) for his contribution to preserving India’s film heritage. The award ceremony took place virtually. On the behalf of FIAF, Film Heritage Foundation chief Shivendra Singh Dungarpur presented the award to Big B.
Amitabh Bachchan has been endorsing the cause to preserve India’s fast-decaying film heritage. He himself has preserved nearly 60 of his films in his bungalow in Mumbai. As to bid to see that the films will not be lost he preserved them in an air-conditioned room
The Legendary actor took to social media and posted a picture of him receiving the award virtually. Calling himself honoured for this, Big B thanked the filmmakers and FIAF and giving from the award.

While presenting the award virtually, Christopher Nolan showered praises on Big B. Calling Mr. Bachchan a living legend, he thanked him for preserving India’s film heritage.
