The security personnel, the state and even the intel officials are baffled by the mysterious absence of a key minister. On at least two occasions, the minister went out without informing his security personnel. More bafflingly, the intel officials do not know where did the minister go.
The minister in question is Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali. Normally, the ministers and VIPs should be accompanied by the security personnel wherever they go. On special occasions, they may ask the security not to accompany them, but they would inform the security personnel as to where they are going. In some cases, they tell the security personnel to stay off for some time. But, even during this period, the security personnel have their own way of tracking the VIP. But on at least two occasions during the last one month, the Home Minister left way before the security personnel wake up in his personal car. Only later did the security personnel realise them. By the time they alerted their bosses, the minister was home.
Where did the minister go? What happened during this absence? Who did he meet? These questions are begging for answers. The security personnel have reportedly informed the government about this absence. Interestingly, both the incidents happened during the time the MLC elections were being held.
