How About A Commission For Men?

We have seen the governments setting up commissions for women, minorities, SCs, STs and even OBCs for their welfare and also to prevent atrocities against these respective castes and communities.

But now, there is a proposal to set up a commission for men, too, in the wake of killing of men by their wives to cover up their illicit sexual relations with other men in different parts of Telugu states – Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Interestingly, the proposal has come from Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapeni Rajakumari.

Putting forth this strange demand before the AP government, Rajakumari said men also need to be provided protection from women since there have been several cases in the recent past of women cheating men.

Citing the incidents of a woman brutally murdering her husband and another where an attempt was made to kill the husband which took place in Andhra Pradesh, she expressed her shock regarding these atrocities.

“That is why, I have requested the state government to set up a ‘Purusha Commission’ (State Men’s Commission).

Extending support to the man who was attacked by his wife in Srikakulam district, Nannapeni Rajakumari said that the TV serials are having a huge influence on women and it is not good for society if women are influenced with criminal thoughts.
