Not many people understand the kind of depression star heroes go through. There is the obvious stardom angle but these superstars have to deliver day in day out in order to keep their superstardom intact. Incidentally, Jr NTR has now opened up about the hardships he had to go through while he was in a lean phase of his career. He spoke at length about all the depression he had to go through right at an early age despite scoring multiple blockbusters right from the start of his career.
“It is true that I tasted massive success right at the early stages of my career. With blockbusters like Student No. 1, Aadi, and others, my career got off to a very good start. But even at this high point in my career, I knew that there will be a few hardships along the way. I was, in a way, open to the obvious negative impact that was in the beckoning. But when the lean phase did hit me, I took it really hard. It was a tough experience for me both personally and professionally. I was emotionally distressed and it was hard to get through this,” Jr NTR said.
“Every action has equal and opposite reaction. I knew that I could get through the depression, but it wasn’t all that easy in any which way to take on it. Rajamouli helped me a lot when I was in great need of emotional support. He helped me find solace and I needed it the most. I then made some changes to my approach and that is when the success followed. I wanted to explore a new side of me as an actor and picked the scripts accordingly.” Jr NTR said.
It needs to be noted that NTR faced a rather bleak situation even before the release of Temper. He himself spoke about the same at Temper’s pre-release event. “I will continue to strive hard and make my fans proud with my future choices. I will only pick scripts that will satisfy all my fans.” Jr NTR said. He has been walking the talk and delivering consecutive blockbusters. With RRR, Jr NTR hopes to enter the pan-India circuit and he is said to have delivered a winning performance in the film.
