Huge scam to loot AP CMRF has been exposed!

A lot of funds keep going into the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund every now and then, which are used for the development of the state, and also for helping out those in need.

Recently, a huge scam has been exposed, where it was planned by a group of people, to steal nearly 117 Crores of money from the CMRF, from various places in the country. The plan to steal this much amount of money was smoothly sailing until the end, which was when the bank authorities had highly suspected of malicious activity going on.

One person had tried to withdraw a sum of Rs.52,65,00,000 from the Mangaluru SBI branch. However, the branch manager hadn’t passed the check, suspicious of such huge amounts of money being withdrawn. This led him to alert the officials of the CMRF, following which it was clear that the person who came in with the check was a fraudulent person.

A similar incident took place in the CCPC SBI branch of Delhi, where a person tried to withdraw a sum of Rs. 39,85,95,540. Yet another similar incident took place in Kolkata, where another person tried to withdraw a sum of Rs. 24,65,00,000. All put together, more than Rs. 117 Crores were put at risk from the CMRF.

Thankfully though, the management of SBI in all the three branches were alert enough to suspect illegal activity. Investigation is now to be done with respect to this suspicious activity, as there are doubts of a big organisation involved in this incident.
