Hyderabad commissioner Anjani Kumar warns about Chinese online games


On Thursday, Hyderabad’s Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar held a press conference and warned about the rampant growth of Chinese companies in the online gaming sector, which could be a potential threat to the gamers.

The CP said, “the online gaming is booming in the country and Telangana is the first State to enforce the Telangana Gaming Act so as to forbid online gaming. The issue came to light when two cases were filed with the CCS by the victims who alleged that they were duped by the online gamers of a whopping Rs. 97,000/and Rs 1,64,000 respectively. The victims further alleged that they were lured into the gaming through the Telegram app and it was only through recommendations”.

The commissioner notified that many people unwary of such illegal acts are falling trap to it.
In the investigation it was revealed that a company called `Beijing T Power’ that has it’s roots in China was the mastermind behind the online gaming fraud. The parent firm further set up few more subsidiary companies, viz; Growing Infortech Pvt Ltd. Sily Consulting Services Pvt Ltd, Pan Yun Technology Services, Linkyun Technology Pvt Ltd, Dokypay Technology Pvt Ltd, SpotPay Technology India Pvt Ltd, Daisylink Financial Pvt Ltd, Huahuo Financial Pvt Ltd.

It was learnt the companies had total earnings of 1100 crore which was run by three Indians and 1 Chinese. The accused Dheeraj Kumar, Ankit Kapoor, Neeraj Turali and Yah Hao were arrested by Noida police and there bank accounts were seized.
