TDP leader, Hindupur MLA Balakrishna reached his Assembly constituency on Sunday to take part in the meeting held by the Rayalaseema TDP leaders. Addressing the event, Nandamuri Balakrishna had raised his voice for the water projects in Rayalaseema.
The Actor-turned-politician had alleged that Andhra Pradesh is not focused on giving water to the Rayalaseema region. Instead of focusing on giving water to the projects, the government is creating rifts between the castes, religions, and regions, Balakrishna said.
NTR had worked hard for the development of the Rayalaseema region. He brought the Handri Neeva Project to the region. However, the current government is not concerned about giving water to the water bodies through the Handri Neeva Project. All the BT Projects, water bodies in Anantapur projects should be given water, Balakrishna demanded.
Balakrishna went on to say that he would wage a war with the Union Government for the water to the Rayalaseema region. I will fight with the Centre demanding water for the region, Balakrishna maintained.
The TDP leaders are hoping that the fight Balakrishna started for the Rayalaseema region will help in boosting the mileage of the party. The 2019 elections showed how TDP lost its control over the Rayalaseema region. TDP had barely managed to win three Assembly seats in Rayalaseema.
TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Payyavula Keshav emerged victorious in the elections from the region. TDP has to give a special focus on the region and they are having high hopes for Balakrishna’s fight. Let us see what happens here.
