Actor-turned-politician and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan who is busy with his campaign activities for the upcoming elections to set a tone for his party has reacted to Rajinikanth’s decision to stay away from politics.
“Rajinikanth is my friend. As a friend, I will meet Rajinikanth after my campaign gets completed and seeks his support. I will inform about him after meeting him,” ANI quoted Kamal Haasan.
His comments came a day after, he said like any other fan of Rajinikanth, he was also disappointed with Rajni’s decision, but his health condition is more important than politics.
Rajinikanth’s decision is surely a rude shock to Universal Hero Kamal Haasan. He openly expressed his desire to join hands with Rajinikanth even though the duo has a different ideology.
With Kamal Haasan announcing he will seek the help of his ‘friend’, he might ask him to extend his support to the third front, he proposed to emerge as the alternative to the ruling and opposition parties.
The much-awaited 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are expected to slate between April-May. With just, months left for the elections, all the parties have started their campaign activities. Kamal Haasan is also on his campaign program.
Kamal Haasan started Makkal Needhi Maiam(MNM) party in 2018 and contested the 2019 elections. However, the party lost the elections cheaply and a mere 3.7 percentage of votes are polled for the party.
