The senior actress from the 90s, Raveena Tandon, who is still wooing her then fans with her stunning looks and fit physique, has also gained fanbase from the later generations. She was last seen in thriller film Maatr and judged Nach Baliye 9, a reality dance show.
Raveena, who is known for straightforwardness voiced her feelings that she wished she had social media back then in the 90s to interact directly with her fans. The controversies of stars back then were only reported by the media and the actors couldn’t clarify the news due to lack of immediate technology. Now, with the help of social media sites, actors make sure that their voices are heard louder by talking on controversies, relationships and upcoming projects.
The actress said in one of the chat show called ‘The Love Laugh Live Show’ that if social media was there in the 90s, a lot of people from Bollywood would have been exposed for their wrongdoings. “In those days if I had social media, my god, I would have taken the pants off so many people,” she added.
Ms.Tandon is also utilizing the pros of social media today by staying active and amicable with her followers. With more than 3.5 million followers, Raveena added that not having social media was the saddest part of the 90s. She said, “Whatever the headlines said or whatever the controversies that were created or whatever was flashed was what remained in people’s minds. There was no way that you could clarify yourself.”
With the actress’ words, we too believe that social media is indeed a blessing in disguise, apart from connecting long-gone friends. Particularly for celebrities, social media has become a necessity to clarify their delicate and rumoured lives.
