Music director Keeravani tweets on the lyricists created a storm recently. We do not know why he was upset, but his comments were really sharp. He said that the standards of lyrics have fallen after Veturi Sundara Rama Murthy.. Srivennela Sitarama Sastry generation.
It is obvious that these comments hurt the present generation lyricists.. 0n the other hand, his comments on music director Thaman also created a sort of controversy. Thaman may have tried to take Keeravani assistant Jeevan into his team after the retirement of Keeravani. But Thaman fans opine that it is not right for Keeravani to make it public.
They are saying that Keeravani was an assistant under Ilaiyaraaja long time ago. He got close to Ram Gopal Varma during that period and that lead to his offer for ‘Kshana Kshanam’ movie. When Keeravani can take the offer from Ilaiayaraaja client when he was an assistant.. and if it’s right.. then what’s wrong in Thaman giving an offer to Jeevan to join his team after Keeravani retirement ? Their argument seems to have some logic. Isn’t it?
