India Shows Its Dominance: Number One Across Formats!

The much-awaited 50-over World Cup tournament will start in a few weeks and all eyes are on the event. India is entering the tournament as one of the big favorites as it is hosting the event. After 2011, India is hosting the tournament and fans pinned high hopes that India would end the ICC trophy drought.

Ahead of the World Cup tournament, everything is falling in place for team India. Recently, Men In Blue lifted the Asia Cup. Throughout the tournament, India displayed an overall performance. India continued its form in the ongoing Australia series as well.

India showed its pure dominance in world cricket. After a comprehensive win against Australia in the first ODI, India became the number-one ODI team. The big win helped India’s points reach 116. Pakistan and Australia are in the next positions.

India is the number-one team across the formats and this is the first time India achieved this feat. Back in 2012 South Africa achieved this feat. India became the only Asian team to be at the top in all the formats. As this happened ahead of the World Cup, fans are celebrating this.

India has been banking on the batting area for a long time. But things have changed now and the Indian bowling attack is very lethal. When we talk about strong bowling attacks, teams like Pakistan, England, and Australia come to our mind.

India is not next to anyone now. India’s bowling attack included Yorker King Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj. They played a big role in India reaching the top positions. In yesterday’s match, Shami took five wickets. The bowling attack played a vital role in the Border-Gavaskar trophy that helped India to reach the top position in the Test format.

As the World Cup is around the corner, India can lift the trophy and put an end to the ICC trophy drought if the players put up the same performance. The bowling attack is in full form. Talking about the spin department Kuldeep Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Washington Sundar are available.

The batting line-up looks destructive with Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, and others.
