A serving Indian cricketer joined the Bharatiya Janata Party by taking the party primary membership. This started a debate on whether he started a new chapter and whether he would take the political path soon. We are talking about all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja here.
The primary membership drive is being held in Jamnagar in Gujarat. As part of this Jadeja took the membership. His wife Rivaba Jadeja who is the serving MLA from BJP announced that the cricketer took the party membership and shared some pictures. Rivaba said that she started the membership drive in the seat.
Jadeja’s wife Raviba is the sitting MLA from Jamnagar in Gujarat. Jadeja was earlier seen supporting her in the campaign and even sought help from the people for his wife. Now he took the primary membership of the BJP which started a debate on his possible political entry.

Ravindra Jadeja recently announced his retirement from the T20 format and there is no clarity on whether he would be picked for important series in other series as he is facing competition from young players like Axar Patel and others.
Amid this, he took the party’s primary membership. However, there is another version to the development which says that Jadeja might not take the political route and he might have just taken the membership as his wife is in the party and MLA from Jamnagar.
