Indian Origin Senate To Run For US Vice-President Polls


The Democratic Party Presidential candidate Joe Biden shocked everyone by selecting South Asian-American woman as the vice-presidential nominee for the upcoming elections.
Joe Biden picked 55-year-old Kamala Harris as the vice-presidential nominee of the Democratic party. She is the first Indian-origin woman to run for the Vice President elections.

Looking at her details, Kamala Harris who is serving as the junior United States Senator is the first Black woman and the first Asian-American woman to serve as a senator.

She has roots from Tamil Nadu. Kamala Harris’s mother Shyamala Gopalan who hails from Chennai migrated to the United States and settled in California.

Political circles claimed that the Democratic Party which is not leaving any stone unturned to woo the American Indians for the upcoming Presidential elections made this bold move to impress the American Indians.

Many Indian-American actors and American-Indian welcomed the move and messages are pouring in for the Democratic Party’s Vice-Presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
