In an interesting turn of events, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun had rejected each other’s projects – Pushpa and Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
Following Rangasthalam’s blockbuster success, Koratala Siva first took Pushpa’s script to Mahesh and the latter felt it was all too raw and rustic for him and he then rejected the project.
Same with Allu Arjun. Parasuram, who is a very good friend of Allu Arjun first took Sarkaru Vaari Paata’s script to the latter. But the Allu hero turned down the project for undisclosed reasons.
Well, Pushpa, which was rejected by Mahesh Babu did not fare particularly well in the Telugu states but it is a huge hit in the pan-India circuit. Moreover, there was a talk right after Pushpa’s release that Mahesh wouldn’t have suited this overtly raw character anyways.
We should wait and see if Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which was rejected by Allu Arjun can deliver a box office hit to Mahesh Babu now.
