Instead of Film Stars, Chief Minister appears in advertisement to create awareness on Covid

DMK chief Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin, popularly known as MK Stalin, who was elected to power in the 2021 Tamil Nadu general elections has sent clear indications on how his ruling is going to be.

As promised during the campaign, he signed the orders to provide financial assistance of Rs 2,000 for the ration cardholders in the state. Orders reducing the prices of Aavin milk by Rs 3 per litre were also signed.

Despite hailing from the state that is famous for revenge politics, he condemned the act of attacking Amma canteens and even arrested the party activists of his DMK Party.

During his oath-taking ceremony, former deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and former Speaker P Dhanapal were seen seated at the front line.

To fight the Covid situation, the Chief Minister took the timely decision and imposed a statewide lockdown. Except for the essential services, all the services will be suspended.

Generally, the government uses film stars to create awareness on Covid as their image helps in reaching the message.

Unlike the other governments, Stalin himself appeared in the video shot to create awareness on wearing facemasks and following other safety precautions. His decision is earning applause from various sections.
