Comparing Narendra Modi to former United States President Donald Trump, the Guardian claimed that Modi will not give up campaigning for the elections, like how Donald Trump used to do.Expressing its concerns over the Corona situations in India, the website has claimed that India is now in a living hell and said, unlike the first wave, the current wave has now entered the rural areas.
Calling Narendra Modi an overconfident Prime Minister, the website said that he imposed a nationwide lockdown without consulting anyone and called this a big mistake. The website even raised the question of underreporting of Covid 19 fatalities.
Things changed rapidly in India from April. The fresh Coronavirus infections and casualties have been increasing rapidly. For nearly 10 days, India witnessed more than 2 lakh new cases.
Breaking all the previous records, India reported more than 3 lakh cases for four days. For three days, India reported more than two thousand Covid-19 fatalities for the third consecutive day.
On April 25, India reported nearly 3.5 lakh cases with 3,49,691 and 2,624 casualties. The total infections and fatalities in the country rose to 1,69,60,172 and 1,92,311 respectively. With 1,40,85,110 patients beating the virus, the active cases in the country stood at 26,82,751.
