Is ‘Pushpa 2’ Not Releasing In 2022?

Icon Star Allu Arjun’s recent outing ‘Pushpa’ is a huge success despite the mixed talk and there is no denying it. The film is streaming on Amazon Prime Video right now and everyone is enjoying it. People are heaping praises on the terrific performance of Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s direction. The film has managed to sustain the interest of the audience despite being three hours long.

With the success of ‘Pushpa – The Rise’, a lot of expectations are being built around the second part. The makers announced at the end of the first part that ‘Pushpa – The Rule’ will be released in 2022. With the news of the film’s crew going back to the sets from February doing rounds, people are expecting this massive film to hit the screens in December 2022. But insiders say that it is not going to happen. With the third wave hitting fast and strong, the shooting is reportedly going to start after a month or two. News is that Sukumar still has lot of shooting to do and the grapevine suggests that he is reworking on the script after looking at the loopholes and drawbacks in the first part.

But a majority of the second part’s shooting will be in studios as the forest scenes are pretty limited according to reports. We need to see whether Sukumar releases the film on time or delays the release and spend more time fine-tuning the script. Let us wait and see what happens.

Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine while Malayalam star hero Fahadh Faasil will be seen in a negative role. Mythri Movie Makers have bankrolled this project which was released in multiple languages. Sunil, Anasuya and others played key roles. Samantha did a special item song titled ‘Oo Antave Oo Oo Antave’ which became an instant chartbuster. ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ is set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling and it is released on a pan-Indian scale. Devi Sri Prasad’s songs turned into chartbusters even before the release but his background score drew some criticism. Sukumar proved his directorial capabilities once again with this film. The second part mostly focuses on the war between Allu Arjun and Fahadh Fasil’s characters.
