Is Sarkaru Vaari Paata Getting Postponed Again?

If things went as planned, superstar Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ would have released on 13th January as a Pongal treat. But, he decided to make way for ‘RRR’ which was supposed to release on 7th January. But Rajamouli’s film got postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and Mahesh’s film is not ready now. The makers announced that ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ will be hitting the screens on 1st April.

Mahesh underwent knee surgery, welcomed New Year in Dubai and recently returned back to India. The shooting was supposed to start after Sankranti but things took a complete 180 degrees turn. Superstar announced on Friday that he tested positive for Covid-19. Mahesh is a kind of person who takes utmost care when it comes to his health and fitness. It is in no doubt that he will be recovering soon but his close associates say that he would not risk stepping into the sets anytime soon. He will be cautious not to get affected again and the shooting may get delayed due to this. We need to wait and see what happens in the coming days.

Also, the third wave has started and a lot of positive cases are being registered. There is a chance of the government implementing curfews and other restrictions. With all this, Mahesh fans are starting to worry if their hero’s film gets postponed.

‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ is directed by Parasuram who made hits like ‘Solo’ and ‘Geetha Govindham’ in the past. Mahesh stated that this film is going to have a fresh feel and will have ‘Pokiri’ vibes around it. He is excited about this project and it is reportedly based on the banking sector and the crimes related to it. This film is produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and GMB Entertainments banners. Madhie who worked on movies like ‘Srimanthudu’, ‘Mirchi’ and ‘Saaho’ is the cinematographer while Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor. National award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh is the heroine in this film. A lot of films are getting ready to hit the screens in April and it is to be seen how Tollywood plans for this unexpected hindrance.
