The Mumbai 26/11 attacks are one of the worst attacks in India. Members of a Pakistan-based terror outfit attacked popular places including Taj Hotel. Attacks were carried out at eight crowded places in the city. The National Security Guards (NSG) operation was called.
A Middle-east nation spoke about the attacks and said that people who planned the attacks have to pay a heavy price. Israel’s Speaker in the house said that terrorism is a big problem and both India and Isreal are dealing with it and urged all the nations to come together.
Israel Parliament Speaker Amir Ohana, who is said to be close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made these comments in the house and stunned everyone. Israel is a Middle East nation and despite this, the Speaker spoke in favor of India.
He is all set to come to India for a tour of four days. This is going to be his first visit after he became the Speaker of the Parliament. This also marks his first abroad visit. He assumed office in December last year.
In his speech, the Parliament Speaker said that the terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008 are not something to forget about, and more than 207 people were killed. The Speaker said that even foreigners including Israelis and Jews were also murdered.
The speaker also gave a reason behind picking India as the first visit. Calling India a major developing nation, he said that both India and Isreal share many things in common and this made him pick India as his first abroad visit.
