The members of the YSRCP said a lot of things before elections, and even promised to make sure that every single word of theirs would be made into reality. However, things changed drastically after the YSRCP came into power last year.
Until Jagan became the Chief Minister, ex-Chief Secretary IYR KrishnaRao criticised Chandrababu Naidu, and supported Jagan. After Jagan came into power though, IYR seems to have understood had a change of heart, especially after LV Subrahmanyam was mistreated by Jagan.
The YSRCP strictly objected to the revised costs that the TDP government had introduced, for the Polavaram project, when the TDP was in power. The YSRCP said that these revised costs were made to benefit the TDP rulers, and not for the project.
The YSRCP has now introduced a very similar revised cost list, raising a lot of suspicions. Over Rs. 33,000 Crores were asked for only the acquisition of land, and R&R.
IYR has now asked the Jagan government if these are indeed true numbers, or if Jagan is contradicting his earlier statements on the TDP, with these revised costs, which look very much like they benefit no one else but the members of the YSRCP
