Jagan announces Ex-Gratia for the Vizag gas leak victims

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy who reached Visakhapatnam on emergency after the horrific gas leakage from LG polymers occurred announced ex-gratia for the victims.

AP CM, on Thursday, announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1-crore to the kin of the deceased in the Vizag Polymers gas leak tragedy. After checking out the hospitalized victims in the King George hospital, Reddy announced Rs.25,000 for the people who received primary care treatment and Rs. 1 lakh for the people who are hospitalized and get treatment for two or more days.

Rs.10 lakhs was announced for the persons who are getting critical care under ventilators. The chief minister expressed his grief over the tragic deaths in the incident and conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased. Along with this, Rs 10,000 will be given to around 15,000 families in the villages that were affected by the gas leak from LG Polymers Factory.

He said that he was also puzzled when he heard that no alarms and sirens come into play when there was a gas Leakage with this intensity at the LG Polymers chemical plant in RR Venkatapuram. He ensured that the government will provide free treatment for all the victims and also enquired with the hospital authorities about the medical facilities being provided to them there.
