In April, the YCP government removed Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as AP State Election Commissioner and appointed Justice V Kanagaraj as the new poll panel. However, the AP High Court overturned YCP government’s decision and yet again Nimmagadda took over the Election Commission.
But during these happenings Justice Kanagaraj continued to stay in AP. The YCP government allotted him a flat in Landmark apartments located at Vijayawada’s Benz circle. The rent was fixed at Rs 1 Lakh per month and after the High Court’s decision, Kanagaraj left the apartment. But the furniture and few things remained in the flat.
The twist came on Wednesday when the Panchayatraj officials reached the Landmark apartments to take over the furniture. But the owner of the apartment objected to this as he claimed that he received no payment for the past six months and the total sums up to Rs 7 Lakh.
As the owner of the apartment restricted the Panchayatraj officials, they informed the police. The owner had a detailed discussion with the cops but the police too understood the plight of the owner. But they did not come to a decision and the owner said he would go to the court, if the payment is not made.
Well, this is a small issue and YCP government can settle it in minutes and wonder why Panchayatraj officials failed to make payment for six months.
