When the Tollywood film industry faced a big issue with the movie ticket prices issue, one man stood strong against all odds and made sure that the industry would get a big relief. He is none other than the undisputed king of Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi. He acted as a big bridge between the industry and the Andhra Pradesh government.
Now Megastar Chiranjeevi is reportedly gearing up to do what no Tollywood member had managed to do to date. Media reports are abuzz that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy might grace the pre-release event of Acharya, which stars Chiranjeevi as the lead role.
As per the film circles, the bonding and good relations between Chiranjeevi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is the key reason behind this and the CM would attend the event as the chief guest.
The pre-release event might be held in the temple city Vijayawada this month-end. The Chief Minister was reportedly invited to the event and he is believed to have given his green signal saying that he will present at the event.
It’s been three years since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was elected to power in the state. However, Jagan did not attend any film event. On the other hand, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu did quite the opposite during the Telugu Desam Party regime.
Not just his brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna’s movies, Chandrababu Naidu attended the film events of various films. Looks like Jagan wants to prove a point that he has nothing against the film industry and he wants to have a good relationship with the film industry.
One more point here is that the Andhra Pradesh government wants to develop the shore city Vizag as a film hub. The members were already invited by the government to shift their base to Vizag and they will be given lands and other facilities to suit the shooting purposes. The pre-release event of Acharya might serve as a big platform for developing Vizag as a film hub.
Acharya is helmed by Koratala Siva and it is jointly bankrolled by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company run by Mega Power Star Ram Charan. It stars Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan Tej. Pooja Hegde and Kajal Aggarwal are playing the leading ladies.
