It seems like the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is fed up with the AP High Court which appears to be determined to stall every decision and order took by the government. After repeated jolts to the Jagan, the AP High court recently, issued a stay on the investigation on a land scam involving the former advocate general and kin of a retired Supreme Court judge and refraining the media.
Now, Jagan may have thought that it is enough and they have got to do something and not to let the High Court ruin their plans. Hence they started to attack the High Court repeatedly on various platforms backing up all their decisions one after another. At first, the YSRCP Lok Sabha floor leader Mithun Reddy raised this issue in the Parliament on Wednesday, expressing his dissent over stifling the media by the High Court.
Later, several legal and media personalities like Prasanth Bhushan, Rahul Shivshankar, Rajdeep Sardesai, Dhanya Rajendran, and others also took social media questioning the same. They are all asserting the same point that law should be the same for a Prime Minister and a common man.
The YSRCP’s biggest concern in the Amaravati land scam is that the way High Court stalled the investigation and gagged the media from reporting the news and it naturally leads to suspicion as they are least concerned about the Charges on which the ACB has officially summoned the former Advocate General who was alleged with possible nexus between the previous TDP regime and judicial officers who allegedly gained peculiar benefits.
So, Jagan thinks that it is the right opportunity to suffocate High Court in every possible way and in that order, YCP’s Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Advisor (Public Affairs) to the Chief Minister of AP said that the FIR is filed by an independent body having conclusive evidence against the accused by the Court refused to hear the plea of the petitioner saying that the government was vindictive.
