Will YSRCP’s most popular face in New Delhi and its general secretary be denied renomination to Rajya Sabha? The buzz in the YSRCP circles is that he may not be sent to the Rajya Sabha again. His present term is going to end in June this year and if sources are to be believed, his role in Delhi politics would be minimal after the expiry of the term.
There are four vacancies and the YSRCP is all set to win all the four due its bulldozer majority in the AP Assembly. Sources say that YV Reddy could be sent to Rajya Sabha in place of Vijay Sai Reddy. There is also a buzz that CM’s advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy could be sent to Delhi as Jagan is increasingly finding that both Avinash Reddy and Mithun Reddy are not able to live up to the expectations.
Sources say that former MP Killi Krupa Rani, who is from the Kalinga community in North Andhra, could be made a Rajya Sabha MP this time. In addition, another MP seat could be given to a nominee of the Adani group. The fourth seat could go to a Kapu leader, in view of the numerical superiority of the community.
This means that Vijayasai Reddy could be asked to work for strengthening of the party in the state. He has just been given the responsibility of all the party affiliated fronts and organisations. As of now, most of these fronts are quite insignificant. Vijayasai would be asked to revive and strengthen these fronts.
