The Andhra Pradesh Budget was presented in the Assembly house today. Before tabling the budget, the state Cabinet met for a meeting under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. During the meeting, the Chief Minister had made a few sensational comments.
As a big shock to the Ministers in the Cabinet, the Chief Minister is said to have informed them that the cabinet expansion will happen soon. The alleged remarks from YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came at the time when reports were going on saying that the cabinet might get expanded.
Amid this, an interesting piece of news is doing rounds. As new districts are expected to come into existence on the eve of the Ugadi festival, the cabinet is likely to be expanded on the same occasion.
It is also said that Jagan is working on making sure that all the 26 districts that would come into existence would get representation in the new cabinet. For this, as many as 26 Ministers and MPs would find a spot in the cabinet.
Media reports are abuzz that, from every district, one MP, one Minister, and seven MLAs are likely to be taken into the new cabinet. A few existing Cabinet Ministers might also get retained in the new cabinet given their good image. We have to wait and see what happens here.
