Jagan’s bumper offer for ‘Unanimous’

The local elections in AP has turned on the political heat way before the summer. The ruling YSRCP is doing ‘Operation Akarsh’ on TDP and leaders are falling prey for it. On the other hand, the YSRCP government is planning to conduct the elections in two phases. On March 27th and 29th, the polling might be held.

With the dates almost finalized, Jagan’s government has come up with a bonanza that could well work in villages to get unanimous poll. Accordingly a G.O. was also issued and it says the government will sanction funds as gift immediately to these villages which give one sided result.

For population below 2000, Jagan government proposed to allot Rs 5 Lakh and for population between 2000 to 5000, the allocation is Rs 10 Lakh. For population between 5000 to 10,000, it would be Rs 15 Lakh and above 10,000 population, the gift would Rs 20 Lakh.

This is Jagan’s master stroke and definitely people will think about their village development and would consider this proposal. For TDP this is setback. The party is already struggling to get leaders to contest and Jagan’s new formula, may dent their chances even more.
