It is known that in the latest cabinet meeting, the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy along with his ministers tooks some crucial decisions and one of them is allowing special packages to the worsely hit Telugu Film Industry.
Along with Chiranjeevi, several star heroes lauded the package approved by the Andhra Pradesh government in the cabinet for the film industry. Everyone are in a feeling that the AP government has done something good for the film industry. Later it was revealed that they are going to give 2 months of electricity bills to the theatres along with the cancellation of fixed charges.
With that others in the film industry stood mum except popular producer C. Kalyan. Kalyan said that the package announced by the government won’t work out at all. “AP government had not given any money to the industry and only gave some leeway to the theaters.” At the same time, he recalled the package announced by the Telangana government. Concessions given for the small budget films, the exemptions given in the case of GST e.t.c.
Hence by comparing with Telangana, C. Kalyan is questioning, what is the benefit to the film industry by giving a little benefit to the theatres without announcing anything like exemptions is rents, GST and other allowances.
