ndhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to love his father a bit too much, given that he is trying to link his father’s name to everything that he’s doing in Andhra Pradesh.
Almost every other scheme and every other government facility is named after the late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. YSR Agriculture Labs, YSR Tribal Medical University, YSR Rythu Bharosa, YSR Fasal Bheema Yojana, YSR Gruha, YSR Grants, YSR Schools Maintenance, YSR Vaddileni Runalu, YSR Kalyana Lakshmi are just some of the names that the YSRCP government has incorporated into its schemes.
The sad part is that the government renamed some existing schemes to suit their sensibilities. Now, the YSRCP government is all set to rename the Veligallu Reservoir as YSR Veligallu Balancing Reservoir very soon. A government statement of the very same has also been released
It would have been great if the government tried to incorporate the people of Andhra Pradesh into the names of some of their schemes, as they are the ones who voted the party to power. However, the YSRCP government seems like it’s determined on renaming the state as YSR Andhra Pradesh – transforming the entire state as if it’s a gift from YSR himself!
