Since the emergence of the Covid pandemic, many medicines came to the rescue of the patients. Out of them, the antiviral medication Remdesivir needs a special mention as the patients with minor symptoms were given the injection. At one point, there was a huge demand for the injection and it was reportedly sold on the black market for a huge price.
All this is in the news with the Telangana Congress leader breathing fire on Telangana Chief Minister KCR for selecting Hetero Chairman Bandi Parasadhi Reddy as the Rajya Sabha member from the ruling TRS.
Not happy with this, Jagga Reddy asked how can a person who is facing allegations of sending the injections in black and making money out of it can be sent to Rajya Sabha and asked what credibility he has to enter the Upper House.
Jagga Reddy alleged that Parthasarathi Reddy faced IT raids for the irregularities in the sales of the objections and the IT officials seized money of around Rs 500 crores. Smelling a big conspiracy, the MLA asked why there is no news about him after the much-talked-about raids.
