If the buzz is to be believed, Jhanvi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut has been titled Dhadak. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter features in the Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairaat (2016).
The film is set to go on floors next month. It will be shot in Haryana, instead of the interiors of Maharashtra where Sairaat was based.
The film will take on the subject of honour killings. Producer Karan Johar and director Shashank Khaitan have also decided to retain Sairaat’s music composer duo, Ajay-Atul, for the remake.
Jhanvi and co-actor Ishaan Khattar have started with the script reading sessions.
