Janhvi Kapoor was a picture of poise, as she received her mother Sridevi’s National Award on her behalf.The late actress won the National Award for Best Actress posthumously for her performance in the revenge-thriller Mom.Along with her sister Khushi Kapoor and father Boney Kapoor, Janhvi accepted the award from President Ram Nath Kovind at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi last evening.
What made the moment even more special was that Janhvi wore a saree from her late mother’s personal collection for the ceremony. Designer Manish Malhotra took to Instagram to reveal that Janhvi’s saree belonged to Sridevi.The same saree was worn by Sridevi to Tollywood actor Ram Charan’s wedding in 2012.
Ram Charan had tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Upasana on June 14, 2012 at a farmhouse near Hyderabad. The glittering affair was attended by Sridevi and her husband.
