Jr. NTR’s Classic ‘Ramayanam’ Completes 25 Years!

Young Tiger NTR might be a pan-Indian star now with a blockbuster like ‘RRR’ which earned more than 1000 crores worldwide but it is safe to say that everyone knew he would be a big star right from his childhood days. He might have made his debut as a full-fledged hero with ‘Ninnu Choodalani’ in 2001 but he swept everyone off their feet as a child artist in ‘Ramayanam’.

This super hit flick which came out on 11th April 1996 has completed 25 years on Monday. This is a very memorable film for each and everyone. NTR was seen as Lord Rama in this mythological drama filled with child artists. Directed by well-known filmmaker Gunasekhar, this film is produced by MS Reddy. Madhavapeddu Suresh composed the songs.

‘Ramayanam’ won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film in 1994 along with grabbing two Nandi Awards. Everyone who are in their twenties and thirties might have watched this film at least once. NTR looked adorable and divine in this film and many praised that they saw shades of Sr. NTR in him at that time.

Post 25 years, NTR is one of the biggest stars down South and got a nationwide market recently. He is working with Koratala Siva now and he made use of his acting potential to the fullest over the last two and a half decades. Gunasekhar has turned into a big filmmaker who made movies like ‘Choodalani Vundi’, ‘Okkadu’, ‘Arjun’ and others. After ‘Rudhramadevi’, he is completely focused on’Shaakunthalam’ right now.
