Baahubali has literally provoked every filmmaker to do big budget films. Though Bollywood is used to expensive films, it was of ‘Baahubali’ that gave the much needed push. Despite couple of failures, one more costly film is on its way to box office this April and it is ‘Kalank.’
The teaser of the film was unveiled sometime back and it offers a visual extravaganza. With huge sets, grand scale making and massive star cast in the form of Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Ali Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, ‘Kalank’ teaser is spectacular. But the minus is the plot which is confusing. The film has period drama backdrop and appears to be a love story.
Varun Dhawan fights with a bull and this has to be the eye-catching episode of the film. But only a glance of it is shown in the teaser. Then there are lavishing songs with top production values. Overall ‘Kalank’ promises something for the audience unlike previous big-budget Bolly flicks.
Abhishek Varman is directing the movie while Karan Johar Sajid Nadiadwala and Apoorva Mehta have produced it. ‘Kalank’ is releasing on April 17th.
