It was Sekhar Kammula who introduced Rana as a hero with “Leader”. The film was the right launch pad for Rana as it was not your conventional hero character.
And years later, the same holds true. He has also got wide recognition, thanks to the stupendous success of “Baahubali”.
On the other hand, Sekhar Kammula bounced back as a director with the blockbuster “Fidaa”. Buzz is that Rana and Sekhar Kammula are currently holding talks to team up again to cash in on the craze for their combination.
Following the success of “Fidaa”, Sekhar Kammula has been looking for the right young star for his next story and considered names like Nithin and Vijay Devarakonda, but finally approached Rana.
It has to be seen when the project will take off and who will produce it. Sekhar has reportedly written a different story with a contemporary, social subject for Rana.
If Rana agrees to this, then it will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages to market on the craze Rana has in those markets.
Although Rana’s recent “Nene Raju Nene Mantri” bombed in Tamil language, Kammula has decided to release his Telugu film in every language.
