Rebel Star Prabhas’ action drama ‘Salaar’ is getting released on 22nd December in multiple languages. This pan-Indian film is having a grand release and the expectations are quite high on this movie. With Prasanth Neel being a Kannada director, the movie is carrying a lot of expectations in Sandalwood as well. Interestingly, Kannada superstar Darshan’s ‘Kaatera’ is releasing on 29th December.
During a press meet, he was asked about the competition with ‘Salaar’ and Darshan gave a strong reply. He said, “I don’t care about Salaar or whatever other films. They should be afraid of us. My film is a pure Kannada film and not one of those pan-India films coming these days. I believe that my Kannada audience will shower their love on my film.”
There are not many details coming out regarding ‘Kaatera’ and Tharun Kishore Sudhir is the director of it. Set in the 70s, the movie is based on real-life incident revolving around farmers. Veteran actress Malashree’s daughter Aradhanaa is making her debut with this film. A lot of people are talking about the chance of ‘Kaatera’ getting dominated by ‘Salaar’ in theatres but Darshan had a strong reply for them.
As we know, ‘Salaar’ boasts of a huge star cast involving Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Shriya Reddy, Shruti Hassan and others. Hombale Films has produced this film and the first part of this two-part story is arriving next weekend.
