Karan Johar’s Godown Catches Fire; Memorable Props Destroyed

A shocking and unfortunate incident took place at director Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions godown in Mumbai. The office and godown were caught on fire at 2:30 in the morning. It is reported that the accident destroyed many properties which were valuable and memorable for the filmmaker. It includes essential film books, costumes and artefacts.

As soon as the fire blew the surroundings, nearly twelve fire engines were called to avoid further destruction. Police inspector Jyotsna Rasam said, ‘Investigation is underway to identify the source of the fire.’ Chief fire officer PS Rahangdale also said, ‘We have disconnected their electric and water supply. Action will be taken if lapses are found.’

Dharma Productions godown is majorly used to store all the vital equipment used for shooting like the costumes, books and various other artefacts. However, Karan Johar is yet to speak on this and the filmmaker is said to be in shock since the fateful incident happened. The props which are now damaged were supposed to be used in his upcoming films like Student Of The Year 2, Brahmastra and most-awaited flickTakht.
